Josiah White’s invites you to join our Growing Teens for Life (GTFL) team as a part-time Vocational Coach. This position will serve as a floater working in four different areas (café, greenhouse, store, and towers) of the 50 East Garden Center and Café. As a Vocational Coach, you'll collaborate with our Director of Experiential Learning, Senior Manager, Café Manager, and residential treatment team to ensure interns are learning work skills to prepare for employment following residential placement. Your responsibilities with our GTFL program include overseeing daily operations, ensuring a positive customer experience, and helping interns develop essential work, life, and social skills.
In this role, you will serve as a mentor and positive role model, providing meaningful work experiences for teenage interns and supporting them in their personal and professional growth. You'll also engage in conflict resolution, perform administrative tasks, and contribute to maintaining a Christ-centered environment. Ideal candidates should be dependable, organized, enjoy working closely with other staff members and teens, and capable of working flexibly in various conditions.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. A high school diploma is required, and previous experience working in a related field is preferred. The person in this role must be able to be on their feet for extended periods of times, able to work in a variety of climatic conditions, and able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
