What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Therapist / EMDR Champion position at Josselyn?
Job Summary
The EMDR Champion will maintain a strong standing as a Staff Therapist while contributing to the planning and development of an EMDR program at Josselyn. The position reports to Clinical Supervisor and collaborates heavily with Mission Advancement and Director of Training. Responsibilities include preparing content for presentations, representing Josselyn at community events, and promoting EMDR services through various platforms. The opportunity is expected to take about 2 hours per week, running until the end of the fiscal year, and is expected to be completed outside of a clinician’s working hours.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Maintain good standing as staff therapist
- This should be viewed comparably to Pay as you Go clients, but paid with a stipend.
- EMDR responsibilities will be completed outside of regular hours and the role does not include a productivity reduction.
- Assist in vision planning for possible EMDR Program at Josselyn and develop best practices specific to Josselyn related to EMDR
- Prepare presentation content such as speeches, activities for engagement events, testimonials, etc.
- Represent Josselyn at Mission Advancement or public speaking engagements to promote EMDR in the community
- Assist in the development of an EMDR tool library (books, guides, lightbars, etc. that EMDR trained staff can check out.)
- Identify appropriate venues (websites, conferences, etc.) to promote Josselyn’s EMDR services
- Coordinate with Intake team to appropriately route EMDR referrals to staff and maintain list of trained staff.
Qualifications
- Trained in EMDR & practicing EMDR regularly
- Good standing as a Therapist
- Preference for those seeking/interested in certification as an EMDR trainer
