Jostens is looking for a talented Graphic Systems Engineer / Programmer to join our specialized IT department in Clarksville, TN!As our Sr. Graphic Systems expert you will be performing system integration functions with responsibility for testing, programming, implementing and supporting the technical environment for publishing systems running on Mac, UNIX and Windows servers, NAS storage, network infrastructure and other manufacturing systems. Incumbents collaborate with partners in Information Technology to ensure standards and best practices are implemented and maintained across the Printing and Publishing facilities. Incumbents must be knowledgeable about the business processes and workflow of the company's manufacturing plants, and serve as level two support for manufacturing systems administrators. This role is responsible for providing technical support on all aspects of production critical systems.Qualifications : Required : BS degree in Computer Science, Printing, Digital Imaging, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or applicable technology; or a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent related experience in a technology related field2-3 years' experience in Programming skills in C Visual, C#, VB, VS, database (MySQL), web servicesProject management experience on successful technology implementationsKnowledge of concepts of local area and wide area networks and familiarity with network topologies, server administration, storage concepts & wiring systemsMust be adaptive to technical change and be able and willing to acquire skills required to accomplish highly technical tasksPosition requires that the employee wear a cell phone and be on call 24 / 7Must be able to travel to achieve pre-set objectives (up to 10% per year)Preferred : 3-8 years Computer Technology and Publishing Technology experience2-3 years' experience in Prinergy SystemsExperience in Windows Server Systems administration; as well as BSD UNIX, Linux, Oracle, VMware and networking protocolsWorking knowledge in publishing workflow systems, including a working knowledge of software / hardware specific to the industry (i.e. Color Management, PDF / JDF workflows, MIS)LOVE WHERE YOU WORK : We care about your health.
