Summary of Duties:
The Site Safety Representative will provide full-time safety leadership for a construction site overseeing all contractors and work involved on the project. The Site Safety Representative will have experience in the construction industry (particularly commercial construction) and consult with Jostin’s Safety Manager, Human Resources, Field Management and the customer’s EH&S team to ensure the safety and health of all contractors on site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Provide comprehensive safety oversight for the project, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Customer Coordination: Collaborate with Customer Operations and EH&S staff to ensure subcontractor compliance with safety standards and reporting.
- Daily Safety Audits: Conduct formal safety audits of construction activities and equipment installation daily.
- Technical Advisor: Act as a safety advisor to the construction staff on site, providing expert guidance on safety protocols and best practices.
- Training and Orientation: Deliver site safety orientation, facilitate safety meetings and provide technical safety training as needed.
- Reporting: Complete regular, standardized reports detailing the project’s safety status and report findings to management.
- Safety Logs: Maintain and track all site safety reports and logs meticulously.
- Regulatory Interactions: Assist in interactions with external agencies, such as OSHA inspectors, and manage OSHA logs as appropriate.
- Other duties as requested.

Experience & Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or other related field or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- 5 years’ experience in a Safety Professional position in the construction industry preferred.
- Successful completion of OSHA 510 preferred/Minimum OSHA 30 Construction
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Accredited certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (CSP, CHST, STS-C, etc.) is a plus.
