Requirements
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for multiple foreign jurisdictions.
- Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions using OneSource for LATAM entities.
- Manage tax accounting routines including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Oversee VAT and withholding tax determinations.
- Document and support intercompany transactions in line with domestic tax compliance.
- Coordinate with external partners on annual tax returns, transfer pricing documentation (CbC, Master File), and tax inquiries.
- Perform profitability analysis and ensure documentation complies with local legislation.
- Identify and research tax compliance opportunities and risks; recommend proactive solutions.
- Contribute to technology initiatives to automate and streamline compliance processes.
- Stay informed on changes in LATAM tax laws and assess impacts to company operations.
- Build strong working relationships across global tax, finance, customs, treasury, and legal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in public accounting or within a multinational corporation, with a focus on Latin America.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Technical experience with OneSource Tax Provision (TaxStream), SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with tax return preparation and accounting for income taxes.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Alteryx or robotics is a plus.
- Knowledge of cross-border taxation and transfer pricing compliance in LATAM jurisdictions.
