What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager position at Joule Energy?
Job Purpose:
The Associate Project Manager will help prepare, organize, and supervise Joule employees at assigned project sites. There will be some travel required for this position.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Create organizational structures in project management software and spreadsheets
- Maintain up to date project info in relevant software and spreadsheets
- Travel to project sites, supervise subcontractors and Joule staff on site as requested
- Communicate with subcontractors and staff to maintain project schedule
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to the installation
- Clearly communicate necessary information about project to all related project personnel and ensure their full understanding
- Understand and communicate full scope of project at a technical level
- Adhere to OSHA requirements for job sites and communicate those requirements to others
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, master’s preferred
- At least 1 year of experience with solar and storage construction management in a professional capacity
- At least 1-5 years of construction project management experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Experience with maintaining project schedules with many complex parts.
- Very high level of written and oral communication
- Technical Proficiencies
- Advanced understanding of Google Docs, Google Sheets and Excel
- Experience with Gmail
