Position Title : Business Travel / Leisure Sales Manager

Position Summary
The Business Travel / Leisure Sales Manager develops and implements successful sales solicitation activities to secure new individual travel and leisure business from specified market segments. Maintain existing business clientele relationships, ensuring maximum profitability for the hotel and quality service for our guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and foster business travel and leisure customer relationships
- Meet or exceed the annual sales goals, including sales activity production guidelines
- Adhere to hotel’s sales guidelines and book profitable business including but not limited to prospecting, telemarketing, outside sales calls, site inspections, and presentations
- Comply with company sales reporting standards, company sales office and system standards
- Negotiate in a professional, business-like manner
- Develop and execute sales action plans to close on targeted accounts and or business within a market segment
- Identify and qualify the market for major room night demand generators, developing effective strategies with DOSM consistent with the hotel’s sales and marketing plan
- Act as a source for DOS in suggesting strategies and tactics for respective markets in the annual business plan
- Solicit business in the preferred corporate and leisure segments
- Present on a monthly basis at sales meetings on accounts closed, the hotel’s competitive performance and other meaningful supply or demand changes in the market
- Provide updates on market fluctuations and competitive changes in product ownership or strategies
- Maintain positive relations and high visibility in relative business organizations and local hotel associations
- Foster close working relationships with competitive sales representatives to ensure referrals and co-op bidding
- Develop key internal relationships with Front Office, Sales and Catering, Housekeeping, Outlets, Accounting, and Maintenance
- Develop key external relationships with hotel guests / visitors and other sales personnel
