Job Title: Lake County Worship Leader
Job Description: The Worship Leader for Lake County needs to be an extremely confident, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual who can lead volunteer teams in attracting, finding, and developing musicians for Journey’s worship band. This person needs to be a gifted problem-solver who considers obstacles as challenges to be conquered. This person must be a team player, a team builder, and someone who consistently seeks more of Jesus. This person must maintain a constant mindset ready to mentor and minister to their team and others as opportunities arise. This person must have a heart for worshiping God, be an excellent musician, have positive and encouraging attitude, and seek to build healthy relationships.
Job Classification: Contract Labor (1099)
Reports to: Creative Arts Pastor
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead musicians during setup, rehearsals, and worship gatherings
- Prepare and participate in the Thursday night worship gathering at the Apopka campus
- Assist with weekly production programming
- Have a general understanding of song structure and music theory
- Regularly take opportunities to appropriately appreciate volunteers for serving
- Lead in building and scheduling the Lake County Music/Tech team
- Participate as a developer in our H.E.A.R. development program
- Have an extensive knowledge for worship music

- Commitment to continued personal spiritual growth and formation
- Model the standards and expectations of leaders within Journey Christian Church
- Must attend Journey Christian Church
Experience:
- High School Diploma is required, College degree is encouraged
- Proficient on multiple instruments (additional musical proficiencies are preferred)
- Musical Teaching/Training experience
- Organized; flexible; ability to multi-task
- Exemplary oral & written skills
