What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Lead Coordinator position at Journey Church?
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Journey Lead Kids Coordinator role at Journey Church is to manage our Journey Kids Elementary program and to oversee our Sunday Welcome Team in order to create a fantastic & unforgettable experience for kids and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in Dream Team interviews, orientation, training and PCO workflow management
- Helps lead, coach and develop the Kids Dream Team
- Oversees PCO Services Scheduling for Dream Team
- Ensures all Kids spaces are reset, restocked and Sunday ready during the week
- Provides support to First Time Family Process to include data management, follow-up care and correspondence
- Creates first time family report and enters it into the PCO Workflow
- Provides support for Kids Events (Camps, Easter, Christmas, Child Dedication, Move Up, etc.)
- Monitors and reviews campus budget and metrics for Journey Kids
- Responsible for Campus ordering of supplies (snacks, dream team meals, office & classroom supplies, etc.)
- Champions the vision, the church pillars, the staff values and standards of Journey Church with excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Elementary:
- Oversee Kindergarten - 5th Grade Journey Kids
- Lead Volunteers (training, check-ins, etc.)
- Prepare weekly curriculum and supplies for grade school classrooms
- Oversee monthly scheduling of Journey Kids volunteers for Grade School Classes
- Ensure scheduled volunteers are prepared for their roles (email out curriculum)
- Weekly schedule updates/reminders as well as follow-up phone calls •
- Send out monthly birthday cards to kids and leaders
- Assist with Special event childcare (i.e.. Encounter Nights, Marriage Mondays, Tier 1 Events, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Sunday Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Kids Welcome Team
- Oversee strategy and execution of scheduling for all volunteers
- Create excellent environments for kids by constant evaluation and systematic improvements
- Manage PCO Kid’s Check-In
- Oversee all aspects of the Elementary Services and Classrooms
- Oversee strategy and execution of scheduling for all volunteers
- Create excellent environments for kids by constant evaluation and systematic improvements
- Oversee training, development and building of worship, production and presenter teams with direction from Kids Director
- Regular preaching, teaching and hosting of Elementary services
Qualifications / Experience:
- Ministry experience preferred but not required
- Strong communicator and interpersonal skills
- Servant Leader with a love for people
- Team Player while still being able to work well independently
- Highly organized in time, material, and people resources Skilled in managing projects
- Capability to handle multiple projects effectively
- Experience in organizing multiple people
- Organized; flexible; able to Multitask
- Passionate about children and families

- This role is currently responsible for the supervision of the Kids Dream Team Members
