Overview
As a FedEx Ground Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering packages to residential and commercial locations in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. You will deliver in all weather conditions, and make deliveries in rural, narrow spaces, long driveways
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle and deliver packages to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes, utilizing GPS and mapping software.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including handling customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring they are handled with care and delivered in good condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to maintain a safe driving environment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Consent to a background and motor vehicle check
- Consent to a drug screening (including Marijuana)
- Consent to a DOT physical
- Previous delivery or driving experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; CDL not required. Class E License if licensed out of Missouri (Class D if licensed in Illinois)
- Ability to lift packages up to 75 lbs. unassisted, and 150 lbs. with a hand truck as well as perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
