Because we believe in the beauty found in differences, Journey School will be using a variety of different therapies and methodology including but not limited to : speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, behavior therapy, and Son-Rise to enable and to educate. Guiding Principles
Morals Journey School for the Uniquely Gifted and Talented stands firmly upon the truth of God’s word and the moral foundations that it establishes. This includes but is not limited to, the biblical definition of marriage (Genesis 2 : 22-24), the boundaries of sexuality and moral conduct, and the biblical teaching that gender is established by God’s design from birth and God makes no mistakes. Staff who are employed at Journey School are agreeing to support these and other basic biblical values derived from Scripture.
Biblical Lifestyle Statement An important part of Journey’s Schools mission is to encourage spiritual development in the lives of students and staff. This includes leading students to develop a biblical understanding of morality and to pursue a life that is governed by the biblical moral code. assist in the educational and social development of students under direction and guidance of teacher and therapists
assist in implementation and incorporation of goals and progression evaluation - provide individual support based on individual student’s needs
support students with emotional or behavior concerns and assist them in developing social skills
assist with curriculum / administrative preparation
model and promote empathy, compassion, and respect for gender, ethnic, religious, cultural, and learning diversity of students
