As our Development Coordinator, you'll lead our fundraising initiatives, working closely with leadership and team members to meet and exceed our financial goals. You will engage with donors, manage exciting fundraising campaigns, and spearhead event planning, all while promoting our organization's vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Relations & Stewardship
Engage & Nurture : Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with donors through timely communication and personalized recognition.
Prospecting : Identify and cultivate new donor opportunities to expand our support base.
Innovative Strategies : Implement fresh approaches to donor retention, including energizing monthly giving programs.
Fundraising & Campaigns
Strategic Planning : Assist in developing and executing dynamic annual fundraising plans to reach ambitious financial targets.
Campaign Management : Lead and manage engaging fundraising campaigns-from individual giving and corporate sponsorships to grant opportunities.
Performance Analysis : Track, report, and provide actionable insights on fundraising activities.
Event Planning & Management
Creative Execution : Collaborate with the Event Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute exciting fundraising events, handling everything from logistics to budgeting.
Marketing Collaboration : Work with our marketing and communications teams to boost event visibility via social media, email, and print campaigns.
Resource Acquisition : Secure in-kind donations, auction items, and sponsorships to enhance event success.
Public Engagement & Brand Promotion
Ambassador Role : Represent our organization with enthusiasm at public events, community outreach initiatives, and speaking engagements.
Content Development : Team up with marketing to create compelling donor-focused content and materials.
Partnership Building : Actively seek and develop strategic partnerships to broaden our reach and impact.
Administrative Support & Reporting
Data Management : Maintain accurate donor records in our CRM system.
Leadership Updates : Provide regular progress reports on donor engagement and fundraising efforts.
Communication : Assist in drafting proposals, thank-you letters, and other essential correspondence.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public relations, or a related field (preferred).
2 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a similar role.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that capture attention.
High-energy, proactive, and goal-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with donor management software.
Experience with social media and digital marketing strategies.
A team player with a positive, innovative attitude who isn't afraid to embrace new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in event planning and execution.
Familiarity with various fundraising tools and techniques (e.g., grant writing, corporate sponsorships, major gifts).

Screening Requirements
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
A solid understanding of trauma, coping mechanisms, and issues relevant to the youth we serve.
Must be 25 or older to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
Ability to pass pre-employment, random drug screenings, TB tests, and criminal, FBI, and DFPS background checks.
Strong oral and written communication skills and practical organizational and time-management abilities.
