Location: Portland-Metro (Portland, Vancouver, Tigard, Hillsboro, Aloha, Newberg, Beaverton, Oregon City, and Clackamas)

We’re looking for an energetic and creative LEGO Instructor to lead hands-on, engaging educational programs for K-5 students. Through dynamic activities and interactive lessons, you’ll inspire curiosity, foster problem-solving skills, and encourage exploration—all while having a blast building with LEGO!

What You’ll Do
- Lead exciting after-school LEGO-based STEAM programs for grades K-5, using provided lesson plans to create a fun and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster creativity, collaboration, and confidence in every student, ensuring all learners feel supported and inspired.
- Be the friendly face for parents and clients, keeping communication clear, professional, and welcoming.
- Take care of your LEGO teaching kits and materials to keep everything ready for the next adventure.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a positive, secure environment for all.
When You’ll Work
- After-school programs run for 1 hour on 4-5 weekdays, typically between 2:00–3:30 PM.
- During school breaks (spring, winter, summer), half-day and full-day camps (9:00 AM–4:00 PM) offer additional opportunities for income.
About You
You’re a natural leader with a passion for inspiring kids and making learning fun. You thrive in dynamic environments and have:
- An engaging personality that connects easily with kids, parents, and coworkers.
- Creativity and adaptability to tailor lessons to diverse learning styles.
- Experience managing and educating groups of children (e.g., teacher, camp counselor, classroom aide).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel regularly to program locations.
Preferred but not required:
- Some college experience (Education majors a plus!).
- Familiarity with LEGO programs or STEAM education.
Requirements:
- Availability at least four weekdays per week (2:00–4:00 PM).
- Must be 18 and pass DOJ/FBI criminal background checks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Compensation
- $60 per 1-hour class, with opportunities for raises for returning instructors.
- Additional compensation for camps and based on experience, certifications, or licenses.
- Minimum pay guarantee of $60 for any teaching day.
