What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Teacher (1st 2nd & 3rd Shifts) position at Journey Together Child Care LLC?
The Lead Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the developmental needs of children, in compliance with the DCF 251 State of Wisconsin Licensing rules and regulations. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, and educational environment that promotes the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth of all children.
Duties
· Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the DCF 251 guidelines.
· Maintain a safe and sanitary classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
· Conduct regular observations and assessments of each child’s development and progress.
· Foster an inclusive environment that respects and values diversity among children and staff.
· Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s development and any concerns.
Requirements
· Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
· At least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care setting.
· Knowledge of DCF 251 State of Wisconsin Licensing rules and regulations.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
· CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
