The Activities Assistant plays a key role in enhancing the daily lives of residents by supporting the creation and execution of engaging activities. Working closely with the Activities Director, this position helps organize programs that promote residents' physical, social, and mental well-being. Whether assisting with group events, coordinating one-on-one visits, or arranging offsite trips, the Activities Assistant fosters a vibrant, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all residents.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA certification preferred, but not required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting activities to support residents' overall well-being.
- Facilitate resident participation by coordinating transportation, guiding individuals to events, and providing one-on-one engagement as needed.
- Document attendance, monitor resident involvement, and report any changes in mood or behavior to ensure personalized care.
Additional Responsibilities
- Create and distribute monthly activity calendars in a prominent location and resident rooms.
- Interview residents and families to gather activity preferences.
- Arrange offsite field trips and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless activity delivery.
- Assist with Resident/Family Council meetings and promote family involvement in planning activities.
