The Housekeeper and Laundry role ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment by performing laundry and housekeeping tasks with a focus on efficiency, quality, and resident satisfaction. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and sensitivity to residents’ individual needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Environmental Services Director to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous long-term care/institutional setting experience in housekeeping/laundry preferred.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Laundry Operations: Sort, wash, dry, fold, press, and distribute linens and clothing according to established procedures, ensuring proper handling of items needing special treatment or stain removal.
- Equipment and Area Maintenance: Safely use and maintain laundry equipment, keeping the work area clean and free of hazards; promptly report any equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions.
- Resident-Focused Care: Practice sensitivity to privacy and individual needs while maintaining infection control policies and completing all required documentation accurately.
