As a Regional Clinical Reimbursement Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the MDS process for multiple facilities within the region. You will work closely with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and management to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong clinical knowledge, and the ability to analyze data to improve resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MDS assessments and ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans based on MDS results.
- Train and support facility staff on MDS processes and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations related to MDS.
- Analyze MDS data to identify trends and areas for improvement in resident care.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff regarding MDS-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [Insert State].
- Minimum of [X] years of nursing experience, with at least [X] years in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Experience with MDS assessments and the RAI process.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
