Recovery Room RN, PRN night shift (every Wednesday night, 1900-0700)

Our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) at JourneyLite of Cincinnati is on the GROW!

We are looking for PRN RNs for our Wednesday night contract (1900-0700).

We work hard and love what we do!

Nursing care including recovery for Bariatric, Spine, Plastic and General Surgery patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel
• Uses equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care
• Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice
• Maintains order and cleanliness of the entire ASC
• Performs thorough post-operative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting
• Assists in assessing the physical and emotional status of the patient
• Provides post-operative instruction
• Performs nursing assessment of patient, maintains IV's and gives ordered medications.
• Obtains necessary signatures
• Informs patient about routine care and procedures related to the post-operative experience
• Provides comfort and reassurance to the patient and supports the patient’s right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
• Documents post-operative care according to policy/procedure
• Ensures that the patient’s chart is complete
• Remains prepared for emergency situations by knowing correct emergency procedures and location of emergency supplies and equipment
• Incorporates a sense of wellness by allowing the patient's family to be reunited with him/her as soon as feasible and by encouraging self-care by the patient.

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
