Who We Are: At Journeys, we dedicate ourselves to enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through our diverse programs: Journeys Adult Program (DPP) and Journeys Vocational Services (Job Coach/VPP). Each program is designed to support unique needs, promoting independence and integration within the community.
What We Do:
- Adult Services (DPP): As a part of our Adult Services team, you will support individuals in developing social skills and enhancing daily living capabilities, facilitating personal growth and independence. You will work on goals in our centers and in the community that focus on Independence, Socialization, and Hygiene and Toileting.
- Vocational Services (Job Coach/VPP): Vocational Paraprofessionals work directly with clients, providing job training and support, to enable successful employment and workplace integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized plans and engage in one-on-one or group support to meet the developmental needs of our clients.
- Assist with daily activities, from personal hygiene to job-specific skills, depending on the program.
- Document progress, participate in team meetings, and collaborate with families and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
- Attend required trainings and maintain certifications such as CPR and First Aid.

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or training in special education or related fields preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
