Job Coach

Job coaches are individuals who specialize in assisting individuals with disabilities to learn and accurately carry out job duties. Job coaches provide one-on-one training tailored to the needs of the individual.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 18 years old or older
• Pass a Criminal Background check
• Have reliable transportation with current car insurance and driver’s license

Expectations

• No mileage or travel reimbursement
• Become certified in First Aid and CPR on date of hire and maintain throughout entirety of employment
• Maintain all required licenses and certifications
• Attend a New-Hire Orientation within first month of hire
• Maintain high standards of ethical conduct
• There will be a 90 day probationary period where Journeys DDA has the right to terminate employment if employee is not meeting expectations and responsibilities

Duties:

• Perform individual instruction pertinent to participants job and goals they are working on
• Deliver instruction to practice skills to work on individualized participant goals
• Reinforce learned skills through individualized practice
• Daily documentation of results of instructional tasks and summarize data
• Analyze participant performance errors
• Attend weekly training for a total of 12 hours annually, as well as completing any other training required for services provided
• Meet with direct supervisor monthly for observations
• Coordinate communication to parent/guardian with direct supervisor or scheduler
• Turn in data sheets daily for time-clock to be verified for payroll
• Channel concerns, questions, and information to direct supervisor
• Other duties and responsibilities specified by supervisor
