Position Overview:
This position requires the Office Support Specialist to work from our Enfield, CT office for most of the hours worked. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to ensure smooth day-to-day operations at Journyx. This person will manage shipping, receiving, hardware configuration, inventory management, and general office support, contributing directly to the company’s operational efficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving:
- Manage FedEx shipments, including packaging and verifying deliveries.
- Document incoming shipments, including serial numbers and customer hardware lists.
Inventory Management:
- Track and maintain accurate hardware inventory, including RMAs, new orders, and employee badges.
- Support the Loaner/ClaaS program by configuring, maintaining, and shipping hardware to customers within a 24-hour turnaround.
Office Administration:
- Maintain office supplies and place orders as needed.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and purchase orders.
Hardware Support:
- Physically build and configure hardware, including clock programming via USB or SVC site.
- Assist with hardware testing and troubleshooting.
Software & Customer Support:
- Test, reproduce, research, and document software defects or requested changes for development or other relevant departments.
- Communicate with customers via telephone, email, or other channels to resolve software or configuration issues.
Internal Support:
- Provide assistance to internal teams as needed.
- Document customer issues, resolutions, and status updates using ticket-tracking software.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of web technologies
- Familiarity with and ability to perform basic management of Microsoft operating systems
- Basic knowledge and understanding of database structures, including fields, tables, views, and database objects
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage concurrent tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Self-motivated
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree with a minimum of one year of experience in time and attendance systems or payroll administration preferred
- Experience in customer service is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to travel preferred
