What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Nanny in Menlo Park, CA for an 8, 6, 4, and 2-year-old position at Jovie of CA, WA, and MN?
A bit about us:
We are a structured, sporty, Christian family of 6. We love going on family bike rides, picnics, sporting events, and family movie nights. I am a very organized, detail-oriented mom. We both want our nanny to communicate the macro decisions to us so we can clarify our preferred parenting choices. I work from home 2 days a week/3 days at the office, and my husband frequently works from home. Most of the time, our nanny will only be caring for 1-2 of our children at a time. Our kids are energetic but well-behaved, and they really love each other!
Our 8-year-old son is very logical. His favorite 2nd grade subject is Math. He’s really into sports (basketball, soccer, and flag football) and trading cards.
Our 6-year-old son is a teddy bear. He wears his heart on his sleeve. His favorite kindergarten subjects are Art and Reading. He also loves sports and trading cards.
Our 4-year-old son is a tad mischievious. He loves sports and making his big brothers laugh! He’s in T-K at the same school as his big brothers.
Our 2.5-year-old daughter is in the fun phase of toddlerhood, where she has lots of opinions. She likes following her brothers around and playing with dolls and their accessories. Currently, she goes to preschool 2 mornings a week.
A bit about you:
You are energetic and meticulous! You thrive in a high-energy environment where multi-tasking, following detailed instructions, and attentive engagement are all required. You are FUN, patient, and communicative! You always defer to parents’ instructions and are great at sharing important observations so that parents can make the bigger decisions regarding their kids. You are great at enforcing boundaries with children in a loving way where you help them understand why the boundary is there. You are genuinely caring and enjoy sharing, listening, and teaching children. You will get down on the floor to play, and love getting outside for sunshine and exercise.
Job Duties:
All child-related care such as diaper changes, potty training, feeding, following nap routine, making snacks, age-appropriate activities, imaginative play, reading, ensuring safety indoors and outdoors, engaging in play without the use of screentime, children’s laundry, picking youngest child up from preschool in your vehicle (car seat provided), occasionally driving children to activities such as soccer, walking boys home from elementary school (close to home), lunch prep, and occasional meal prep for dinner, helping kids do their chores, child-related cleaning, and light tidying.
Position Highlights:
Set yourself apart: You are a self-starter, and great at communicating with parents. You are often willing to work even when kids are sick (within reason).
Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday (8:30a-5:30p)
Tuesday/Thursday (12:30-5:30p)
Starts ASAP!
Pay: $30-$35 an hour
