Job description

Do you enjoy working with preschool-aged children with a range of abilities and needs, in a highly collaborative team setting? Jowonio is seeking long-term Sub / Special Education teacher to teach in an inclusive classroom as a long term substitue (length of time negotiable) during the 2024-2025 school year and potentially longer.

The job requires creativity, a passion for working with young children, including children with special needs, and some working knowledge of the preschool special education service delivery system in New York State; as well as flexibility and strong communication and team-building skills with adults.

Certification : New York State teacher certification required. Special Education Birth-2nd grade or a related area.

Experience : Experience with young children and children with special needs is strongly preferred.

Mobility sufficient to address unpredictable behaviors in children is required.
The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
