Child Care Assistant Teacher (FT or PT)

We are looking for an Assistant Teacher who will provide a loving and caring environment for children. The candidate selected must be responsible, reliable, dependable, flexible, patient, coachable, and have an energetic and positive personality. This person will be dedicated and love to provide an authentic educational experience for every child through our play-based curriculum.

• Full-time: assistant teacher

Part time : assistant teacher :morning or afternoon

• Essential Skills and Requirements:

*High school diploma

* Two years of experience working with children (Preferred)

*Patience, love, and ability to interact with children

* Must be willing to have a background check completed before

working.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Positively interact with all students.
• Create a safe learning environment that is conducive to learning.
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers and school staff.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance.

Additional Abilities/Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Frequent periods of standing, stooping, bending, and occasional running.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Job Description:

*Providing a safe and secure environment with proper supervision

*Providing documentation of positive developmental outcomes for students

*Maintaining positive relations and communications with families and the program

staff

*Sharing responsibilities with other classroom assistants, aides, and volunteers. *Adapts classroom activities, assignments, and/or materials under the direction of

the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom

objectives as well as providing an opportunity for all students to participate in

classroom activities.

*Attends meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or

conveying information relative to job functions.

*Aiding the primary teachers with helping the students work towards their

independent academic goals. Monitoring that the student is making progress and

promoting a success-oriented environment.

*Promote a fun and enjoyable learning atmosphere, helping students regain their

love for learning.

*Supervise children during special area classes and lunch.

*Performs additional duties as assigned.

*Documents and records daily information about the student’s activities, lessons,

behaviors, and general well-being.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
