What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Staff Accountant position at Joyce Meyer Ministries?
This role supports the mission to Share Christ – Love People by ensuring timely completion of financial statements for month-end and year-end reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries with appropriate detail
- Perform bank reconciliations for Joyce Meyer Ministries
- Produce and analyze required reports timely: Flux Analysis, various monthly/quarterly reports, and other ad-hoc reporting requirements
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with understanding of accounting relationships within the general ledger
- Recognize functional expense trends and their ramifications on the financial statements
- Assist management: preparation for mileage booklets, annual audit, writing procedures, and complete special projects
- Communicate relevant updates
- Work with Chief Financial Officer on special projects
- Assist the Finance Department with general ledger account coding and functions
- Maintain personal knowledge base of current United States accounting standards
Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office operating environment: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Microsoft Navision or Enterprise Resource Planning accounting system software or similar programs
- Exhibit full comprehension of accounting relationships within the general ledger
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work within all levels of organization
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work quickly under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Precise attention to detail
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Advanced Degrees/Certifications preferred
