Joyfolie is a fast-growing brand known for its whimsical bohemian products for girls and women. With a commitment to quality, style, and customer satisfaction, we have solidified our position in the market. We are currently seeking a talented and creative Associate Fashion Designer to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Designer, contributing to the research and development of trendy and unique designs that resonate with our target audience.

What you'll do:

  • Research market trends, photoshoot locations, and mood inspirations to inform design decisions.
  • Ideate and develop designs that align with the brand's design intention and target margin.
  • Create detailed CADs (Computer-Aided Designs) to communicate fit, design details, and construction.
  • Coordinate and manage design sketches, technical packages, and ensure timely completion of assigned designs.
  • Send sourcing requests to factories and fabricate assigned styles.
  • Manage and track material approvals, ensuring adherence to the predetermined product development calendar.
  • Build and update collection boards to reflect current styles and colorways.
  • Create tech packs to communicate design details, fabric, and colorways to the factory.
  • Communicate and track all design approvals, including PP (Pre-Production) and TOP (Top of Production) samples.
  • Update technical sketches, CADs, and fabric or colorway changes, ensuring clear communication with the factory.
  • Provide creative solutions to achieve design intention, aesthetics, and target FOB (Free on Board) when styles require adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the merchandiser, product developer, and technical designer to create a cohesive collection that aligns with the Design Director's vision.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and textiles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for fashion and staying up-to-date with industry trends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
