Home Inspector (1099 Contractor) - Tucson, AZ

Always Faithful Home Inspection, a reputable Tucson-based company, is expanding and seeking a Licensed Home Inspector to join our team as a 1099 contractor. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to grow with our company. 

Job Overview

As a Home Inspector for Always Faithful Home Inspection, you will be responsible for conducting thorough home inspections in the Tucson area, adhering to Arizona Board of Technical Registration (BTR) standards of practice. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and an autonomous work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive home inspections according to AZ BTR standards of practice

• Prepare detailed, accurate inspection reports using company-provided software

• Manage your own schedule and maintain an up-to-date calendar for online bookings

• Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and company management

• Conduct termite inspections (if certified - training available)

• Opportunity to perform additional services such as sewer scopes and mold inspections (certification and training available)

Qualifications

• Licensed Home Inspector in Arizona (or in final stages of obtaining license - company is willing to provide free parallel inspections alongside our team members upon a signed employment agreement if all other qualifications and requirements are met)

• Willingness to obtain termite certification (if not already certified)

• Strong knowledge of residential construction and building systems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Physical ability to climb ladders, access roofs, and crawl in confined spaces

• Proficiency with technology, including tablets and inspection software

• Willingness to communicate with customers outside of business hours for occasional questions (flexible with your schedule)

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Professional appearance and demeanor

Required Equipment

• iPad with unlimited data plan

• Basic inspection tools (comprehensive kit not required, but preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the construction or home inspection industry

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• Certifications in additional inspection services (sewer scopes, mold inspections)

Compensation and Benefits

• 65% commission on inspection fees and profit from termite inspections, except for roofing or other ancillary specialist contractors booked.

• Full retention of trip fees/mileage reimbursement for inspections outside the standard service area

We have recently expanded to the Phoenix market and are looking for a dedicated Tucson-based professional to help maintain our reputation in this original territory.

Interested candidates should submit their resume, copy of their Home Inspector license (or proof of passing national test), and three professional references. A background check and drug test will be conducted and required on final candidates. Please note that a non-compete, and non-solicitation agreement will be required upon hiring.
