Job Summary: As a Master Teacher at Joyful Learning Educational Development Center, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring both students and teaching staff. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for preschool-aged children. This position involves curriculum development, classroom management, and ensuring adherence to educational standards. You will also work closely with teachers, providing leadership and support to ensure that Joyful Learning’s mission of fostering childhood development is met.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that fosters early childhood development and aligns with the center’s educational philosophy.
- Mentor and supervise teachers and aides, providing guidance and professional development.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment where children can learn through play and educational activities.
- Use effective classroom management techniques to support both the emotional and educational needs of young learners.
- Monitor children’s progress and maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with staff, parents, and children, promoting a positive and collaborative learning community.
- Incorporate physical education, creative arts, and sensory activities into daily lesson plans to support holistic development.
- Conduct regular assessments of children’s progress and adapt curriculum as needed to meet individual needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required).
- Master Teacher Permit or equivalent certification in early childhood education (required).
- Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development theories and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing and guiding a team of educators.
- Ability to create and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that meets developmental milestones.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (required).
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or equivalent (preferred).
