We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and a commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As a Daycare Teacher Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children through engaging activities and positive interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Foster positive relationships with children by using effective behavior management techniques.
• Communicate regularly with daycare staff, lead teacher and parents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas.
• Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the overall daycare experience.
• Observe and assess children's development to tailor activities that meet their individual needs.

Experience

• Previous experience in childhood education or daycare settings is preferred.
• Experience working with toddlers or young children through babysitting, nannying, or similar roles is a plus.
• Ability to engage children in meaningful activities that support their growth.

Pay: $9.62 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
