Job Overview:

We seek a passionate and dedicated Reading Tutor to join the JoyFully Read! Team. As a Reading Tutor, you will work closely with students of various ages to improve their reading, writing, and spelling abilities, including fluency, comprehension, and phonics. You aim to create a positive, encouraging space where students are excited to learn and grow as readers.

• A genuine passion for reading and helping others discover the joy of books.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
• Excellent communication skills and building rapport with students and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide One-on-One Tutoring: Deliver personalized reading instruction to students based on their needs, strengths, and learning styles using the JoyRully Read! reading program.
• Assess and Track Progress: Evaluate students' reading levels, follow customized lesson plans, and track progress over time to ensure continued improvement.
• Engage Students: Use our creative methods and interactive activities, such as games and reading, to make reading enjoyable and motivate students.
• Build Confidence: Help students overcome reading challenges, offering positive reinforcement and feedback to boost their self-esteem.
• Collaborate with Parents and Teachers: Maintain open communication with parents to share progress updates and collaborate on strategies we teach you to support each student's growth.
• Instill Joy in and a Love of Reading: Encourage students to explore different genres and topics, sparking a passion for reading beyond tutoring sessions.
