What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Truck Driver position at JP Logistics & Consulting LLC?
JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a full-time Truck Driver to support BEP.
Start Date: Immediately
Hours of Operation: The normal hours of operation for DLA Distribution Corpus Christi Government employees (e.g., the COR) are Monday through Friday, 0500- 1430, excluding Federal Holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Check the vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Check the vehicle to ensure all DOT Hazmat and safety placards are secured and displayed correctly.
- Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions and checking that the vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned and tied down.
- Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources and verify instructions and routes.
- Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Properly securing cargo for transport to ensure the load is secure.
- Submit reports as required to the JPLC project manager on a daily and weekly basis.
- Ability to be 100% responsible for the load. Exhibit good communication
Qualifications:
- Must have CDL Class A.
- Able to operate a 10 speed daycab tractor with a strong ability to back in tight spaces.
- Able to drive a 48 foot trailer.
