- Ability to read and translate paper drawings, electronic drawings, and hand sketches.
- Ability to create accurate drawings from a given physical part or component.
- Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
The AutoCAD Specialist will have primary responsibility for technical ownership of the creation of new drawings, drawing updates, drawing principles, drawing storage, drawing dissemination, Document Change Requests, and relevant SOPs, applicable to all drawings associated with the indoor and outdoor details of the facility. The incumbent will need to have experience working in the aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing setting with demonstrated success in a cross-functional team environment. This role includes collaboration with site and global manufacturing, engineering, IT and quality functional resources.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare drawings of complex integrated systems. Ensure compliance of quality standards in drawings. Translate and convert hand drawings and sketches into CAD drawings. Convert marked-up drawings into CAD drawings. Develop CAD drawings of machine and manufacturing components and parts. Read, evaluate and interpret designs and drawings. Create and implement work methodologies and strategies. Document and update all drawings. Support compliance procedures of drafting and engineering standards. Update SOPs as required. Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external personnel providing timely information to avoid production delays. This includes timely, contemporaneous, accurate, and neat completion of documentation, such as document change requests that meet GMP requirements.
Education and Experience:
Associates of Science in Computer Aided Drafting, or combination of a related degree with work experience. Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software. Ability to read and translate paper drawings, electronic drawings, and hand sketches. Ability to create accurate drawings from a given physical part or component. Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.
Job Prerequisites:
Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.
