Job Description: DB2 Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Redding, PA, United States (Hybrid)
Position Summary:
As a DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) at Boscov's, you will play a vital role in supporting various database environments while working closely with the Network, Server, and Application Development teams. You will manage and optimize DB2 on z/OS, ensure compliance with security policies, and contribute to the overall performance of the database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide DB2 Mainframe z/OS database administration for all environments
- Introduce new functionality for DB2 on z/OS
- Offer application support for changes and resolve issues
- Perform production data updates and modify table definitions
- Design and develop triggers and stored procedures
- Configure and customize DB2 tools (Admin Tool, Query Monitor, QMF)
- Monitor DB2 performance using IBM tools and DB2 LUW
- Manage DB2 connectivity and remote system connectivity
- Oversee DB2 Federated Database on AIX and DB2 LUW on AIX
- Tune SQL queries and optimize database performance
- Ensure business recovery processes are in place
- Provide support for SMARTIS and DB2 buffer pool tuning
- Manage zParms and oversee environment refreshes with production data
- Participate in PCI interviews and on-call support rotation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security
- Experience with best practices in database management
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- 2-3 years of experience in database administration
- Experience with DB2 z/OS, DB2 LUW, SQL Server, Oracle, and REXX scripting is a plus
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
