Job Summary:
The IT Controls Analyst will be responsible for managing and improving IT change control processes, conducting audits, facilitating communication between IT and management, and ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards. The role will also involve project management, process improvement, and risk management across the IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change Management & Audits:
- Complete monthly Change Audits covering all technology stacks, following up with management to resolve issues through remediation or process improvement projects.
- Contribute to IT Change Control Management Library activities and assist in the facilitation of weekly Change Advisory Boards.
- Ensure consistent maintenance of Critical Assets lists documenting system modules and integrations in scope for Change Management.
- Escalation & Issue Resolution:
- Provide escalation mechanisms for events or issues to appropriate executive staff.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve operational and security control gaps within Change Management.
- Assist in audits and regulatory examinations and monitor the resolution of audit issues.
- Process Improvement & Documentation:
- Contribute to strategic and tactical initiatives related to IT Change Controls.
- Develop process flows, procedure documentation, and specialized reports related to processes, tools, metrics, and communications.
- Manage process improvement projects for IT Change Controls.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Build strong relationships with IT Analysts, Developers, System/Network Administrators, IT Management, and internal stakeholders.
- Serve on IT planning and policymaking committees to drive the development of technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics.
- Plan and assist in preparing project communications.
- Compliance & Governance:
- Monitor management ownership to ensure due diligence in compliance, audit, and risk management.
- Recommend technology strategies, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards (e.g., ITIL, CobIT, ISO).
- Continuous Improvement & Reporting:
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and customer service excellence, utilizing visible metrics and KPIs.
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and benchmarking.
- Project Leadership:
- Function as a project lead on key IT initiatives.
- Ensure that infrastructure outsourcing partners are delivering according to the technology roadmap.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or an IT-related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in IT Operations, Security, Risk, and/or Audit.
- Skills:
- Experience with Technical Project Management or Business Analysis.
- Ability to analyze and manipulate data across various platforms (Excel, CRMs, and online repositories).
- Process modeling and procedure development experience.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle and change management concepts.
- Knowledge of financial institution governance and regulations (e.g., SSAE16/18, FFIEC, SOX, ISACA/COBIT).
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities and meet deadlines.
