Manufacturing Technician
Location: Red Lion Road, Philadelphia, PA
Shift: 1st Shift, 06:00-14:30
Shift: 2nd Shift, 14:00-22:30
Shift: 3rd Shift, 22:00 - 06:30 (Sun-Thu) 5x8 hour shifts
Job Description:
Manufacturing Technicians for 2nd shift starting on March 3, 2025. The role involves performing a variety of tasks related to processing ingredients and pharmaceutical products, including operating manufacturing equipment, such as autoclaves and automated aseptic filling lines. Candidates will be responsible for handling raw materials, and intermediate and finished products, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the facility. Cleaning tasks will take up 25% of the 8-hour day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in direct manufacturing support functions such as Thaw, Blend, Fill, Stage, Prep, Environmental Monitoring (EM), and equipment preparation.
- Perform indirect manufacturing tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing the facility.
- Ensure aseptic manufacturing to maintain product quality and patient safety.
- Prepare and formulate cleaning solutions for manufacturing areas.
- Operate basic equipment such as scales, balances, autoclaves, and environmental monitoring equipment.
- Adhere to cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) and complete required documentation.
- Please comply with the federal regulations and help with batch-record close-out activities.
- Complete tasks promptly and safely to comply with domestic and international regulatory agencies (i.e., CFR, EMEA).
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions.
- Must be cleared to wear air-filtering respirators and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Desirable:
- Experience with autoclaves.
- Aseptic background.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
Additional Information:
- Contractors must follow PPE guidelines, excluding makeup, jewelry, nail polish/fake nails, and eyelash extensions.
- Vision requirements: 20/20 vision or greater, with standard depth and color perception (cannot be color-blind). Applicants may wear prescription glasses during the vision exam conducted onsite by the nurse.
