Piping Designer- pharmaceutical

Job Title: Piping Designer
Location: Muscatine, Iowa (Onsite)
Duration: 10 months contract

Job Summary:

The Piping/Mechanical Designer will complete piping design and drafting tasks for plant operations. They will produce engineering drawings and documents, including flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and piping plans. The designer will work independently and may make design decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop site plans, equipment layouts, piping plans, and isometrics (60% of time)
• Update as-built drawings (30% of time)
• Assist with construction activities and project planning (10% of time)

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent experience
• Skills:
• Strong AutoCAD & 3D Design (Autodesk Inventor)
• Knowledge of mechanical and civil design principles, codes, and regulations
• Surveying and field verification experience
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with process-related equipment (pumps, piping, heat exchangers)
• Familiarity with OSHA, ADA, ASME, etc.
• Optional: Experience with Leica 3D Point Cloud Scanner

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to ascend/descend stairs and lift 40 lbs
• Ability to access all plant areas
• Must work core business hours with potential for overtime and weekends.
