The Role
The Director of Marketing at JPA Health is responsible for elevating the agency’s awareness among key audiences and leading execution of all top-of-the-funnel marketing activities to position JPA for growth. This role will sit within our Growth Office, reporting to the VP Growth, and working closely with both agency leaders and internal teams of synced-up specialists to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies.
This position is a hybrid role reporting to any of the JPA Offices (Washington, DC, NYC, Philadelphia, or Boston) two (2) days per week.

The Role

The Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee JPA’s overall marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives, in partnerships with a team of synced-up specialists across JPA
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, identify target audiences to inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate with JPA leadership team to refine and execute marketing programs, driving strategies to best support agency and leverage internal and external milestones
- Ensure all marketing activities reflect JPA’s brand, vision and capabilities across platforms
- Drive awareness and understanding of agency positioning among prospects and talent through earned, paid, and owned programs
- Supported by a Project Manager, ensure marketing initiatives meet deadlines, manage priorities and effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure strategic communications materials and other deliverables remain aligned with developed strategy; serve as counselor and problem-solver to support seamless execution
- Oversee regular reporting to track, measure and analyze performance, including resource and budget oversight and management
- Independently identify opportunities for marketing efforts to further business objectives and new ways to creatively engage audiences, demonstrate our value and elevate our brand—whether on-stage, in the press, in writing or in the world
- Identify and maintain strategic marketing partnerships, industry events, awards and sponsorships to effectively market ourselves and to foster key relationships
- Work synergistically with Growth team to tell agency story as needed for RFI and RFPs and ensure cohesion across new business and marketing efforts
- Manage content and distribution lists across marketing platforms and automation tools, such as HubSpot
Our ideal candidate must have:
- Minimum of 5 years B2B services marketing or agency experience, with a strong track record of execution, innovation, and passion for growth
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategic vision.
- Strong skills in conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying target audiences to drive data-informed strategic decisions.
- Familiarity with marketing platforms and tools, including HubSpot or similar marketing automation tools, and managing content distribution effectively.
- Expertise in maintaining brand management and ensuring all marketing activities reflect the organization's vision and capabilities across multiple platforms.
- A strategic thinker who utilizes creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
- Embodies agency values: Collaboration, Communication, Compassion, Creativity, and Curiosity
- Healthcare and/or life sciences experience strongly preferred

- Competitive pay and opportunities to advance. The anticipated starting pay for this role is between $110,000 - 135,000 annually, based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location. You may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses. We review compensation annually and evaluate readiness for promotions every quarter.
