The Role

Join our team for a 10-week summer internship and immerse yourself in the world of healthcare marketing and communication. This program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside industry experts and gain practical experience in a fast-paced agency setting. As an intern, you will contribute to real projects, develop your skills, and explore various aspects of data science and AI in healthcare marketing and communications.

Our internships offer a hybrid schedule, reporting to our Washington, DC office 2 days per week and working remotely 3 days per week.

The Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering, compiling, and organizing raw data from various sources.
• Clean, preprocess, and raw data into structured, high-quality datasets for analysis and modeling
• Conduct research and analysis regarding the health market and its trends
• Work alongside other interns to build on projects, evaluate and analyze data, and generate descriptive reports
• Collaborate with the team to develop analytical workflows and design experiments that drive data-driven insights
• Support the team by conducting preliminary analyses such as summarizing trends, calculating descriptive statistics, and creating basic reports under supervision.
• Engage with senior leadership through meetings and discussions to learn about career journeys and industry insights.
• Work collaboratively with members of all departments including project management and account teams.
• Create compelling, easy-to-interpret visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights to diverse audiences
• Leverage basic statistical techniques and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and patterns in data
  
  

About You

Our ideal candidate must have:

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in data analytics, business, statistics, data science, research, or a related field.
• Familiar with using generative AI and prompting.
• Have an understanding of data analysis tools and techniques including scripting (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, SQL)
• Demonstrated analytical skills
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets including use of formulas
• Excellent attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
• A genuine interest in helping people live healthier lives, and a desire to learn and grow in this area. A genuine interest in data science and artificial intelligence with a desire to learn and grow
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of statistics and mathematical concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and strong attention to detail
