About the Job
We are looking for a highly skilled Building Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in all aspects of estimating, including negotiated work, conceptual estimates, and competitive bidding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate Creation: Develop complete quantity take-offs and ensure accurate pricing.
- Analysis and Identification: Perform analyses to identify design and constructability issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with architects, owners, and consultants to clarify scope of work.
- Subcontractor Management: Direct, coordinate, and provide information and documents to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Relationship Building: Build relationships with subcontractors and clients to gain respect and confidence.
- Industry Knowledge: Keep current with the latest estimating technology and techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- Estimating Experience: Proven hands-on experience in estimating.
- Diverse Construction Experience: History of work in various construction types.
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of all major elements of commercial building.
- Conceptual Estimating Skills: Ability to independently produce conceptual estimates.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, BlueBeam, and On-Screen Take-Off strongly preferred.
