The Infatuation is hiring an Editorial Production Assistant, Photography to support our expanding dining coverage.
As an Editorial Production Assistant, Photography in The Infatuation (CDJ), you’ll join a team that produces regularly updated restaurant guides for dozens of cities around the world. In this role, you’ll primarily focus on the photography side of our content production, and play a key role in onboarding photographers, coordinating photo shoots, tracking assets, and maintaining the photography archives for our Expansion editorial team. The ideal candidate is organized, extremely detail-oriented, communicative, comfortable with cold calling, emailing, and follow-ups, and interested in learning the fundamentals of digital editorial and creative production.
Job Responsibilities
- Onboard new photographers and walk-them through our processes and policies
- Coordinate photoshoots with restaurants on behalf of freelance photographers
- Track all incoming assets, including original photography shot for The Infatuation and pickup photos sourced directly from restaurants
- Maintain photo archives and address inconsistencies in organizational structure, photo naming conventions, etc.
- Partner with the Creative and Expansion teams to fill gaps in on-site photography
- Track photography budgets and co-maintain freelance photographer style guides and process documentation
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- 1 years professional experience in a coordination or support role, ideally within an editorial or creative industry
- You ideally have experience working with photographers, scheduling photoshoots, and conveying direction to freelancers
- You're organized and able to manage multiple projects at once, adjusting priorities and changing focus as needed to accommodate deadlines or scheduling issues.
- You're comfortable cold emailing and/or calling, following up, and communicating with patience. Proficiency in language(s) other than English is a plus.
- You're detail-oriented and can ensure production values are always high, and have an eye for photos that will grab the reader and tell a story.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience with a content management system (such as Contentful), G Suite, Dropbox, and a project management system (such as Asana) is not required, but helpful.
Salary : $59,850 - $90,000
