Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Data Science Strategist to lead our data science initiatives at PricingDirect. The successful candidate will have a strategic vision for the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in financial valuations, oversee the governance of models, and drive innovation in our data science practices. This role requires a strong background in programming, modeling, and strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the application of AI and ML in PricingDirect's valuation services.
- Identify opportunities to enhance our pricing models and processes through advanced data science techniques.
- Lead the development and implementation of sophisticated models for pricing and valuation input assumptions using AI/ML techniques.
- Utilize programming skills to build, test, and deploy models, ensuring they meet business and model governance requirements.
- Oversee the governance of AI/ML models, ensuring they adhere to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Establish and maintain robust model validation and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate across multiple stakeholders including technology, product, legal, compliance, and the wider J.P. Morgan franchise, to integrate AI/ML solutions into our valuation services.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI/ML and data science and apply this knowledge to drive innovation at PricingDirect.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within the data science team.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in data science, with a focus on AI/ML and financial services.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with data science libraries and frameworks.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying AI/ML models in a production environment.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and regulatory environment.
