As a Data Privacy Executive Director within the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) team, you will be part of a group dedicated to creating business impact through the governance and implementation of privacy requirements with a particular focus on US & EU privacy requirements. Job Responsibilities
- Execute the 1st Line of Defense privacy operating model that adheres to firmwide requirements and applicable law.
- Lead and support programs to enhance the CIB’s privacy program.
- Advise on privacy requirements for new initiatives.
- Ensure effective execution of privacy and data protection requirements, inclusive of privacy risk assessments, and management of procedures.
- Actively partner with the business and privacy teams to deliver required results.
- Engage in the appropriate committees and forums to provide transparency and collaborate with stakeholders on delivery of privacy initiatives.
- Assist the business with the design and execution of controls to address privacy business requirements and mitigate risks.
- Support the business preparing for privacy related exams, compliance tests and audits.
- Provide transparency through governance, reporting and metrics that support the privacy framework.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals in a way that promotes a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and supports their professional goals
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 6 years building and managing privacy programs in regulated financial institutions
- Expertise in US financial privacy laws, such as GLBA and FCRA, and global privacy laws including GDPR.
- Experience in privacy program implementation and advising on privacy requirements.
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with varied stakeholder groups.
- Experience in influencing and implementing change in complex environments.
- Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in process and product design decisions with geographically dispersed teams.
- Strategic thinker that can anticipate and resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior business leaders as well as technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional presentation and influencing skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience within the banking or financial services industry.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP.
- Understanding of AdTech and online tracking regulations.
