As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Identity Access Management team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Data Platform is a comprehensive system that facilitates the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of IAM data within an organization. It acts as the backbone for managing data from diverse sources and supports data-driven decision-making. We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and assist in building and maintaining a robust data platform infrastructure. Your contributions to an agile team will be crucial in delivering key technology solutions across various technical domains and business functions, in alignment with the company's goals.
Job responsibilities
- Implement software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond conventional approaches to create solutions or resolve technical issues. solutions or break down technical problems
- Developes secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proven ability to code in Java and SpringBoot
- Knowledge of system design and professional experience in this area
- Hands on expereince with development of REST APIs
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Hands-on experiene working in agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, data engineering, etc.)
- Knowledge of Identity Access Managmenet
- Exposure to public cloud technologies
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (React, Typescript)
- Knowledge or experience with the Python programming language
- AWS Certification
