As an Application Support professional in Markets Technology within Corporate & Investment Bank, you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Job Responsibilities
- Monitor day to day issues including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with end users, development staff and Infrastructure teams, to prioritize and resolve and/or mitigate outages.
- Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives.
- Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures, and production monitoring.
- Help in identifying, coordinating, and implementing initiatives/projects and activities that create efficiencies and optimize technical processing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users and clients.
- Evaluate carefully alternative risks and solutions before taking action to provide timely resolution.
- Demonstrate creativity, innovation and high performance.
- Being able to understand risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards.
- Have ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor degree and 5 years of application support experience
- Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
- Knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Experience with risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
- Strong in leading and working collaboratively with multiple teams to develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with full life cycle application development
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficiency in Python is desirable
- AWS Cloud experience will be highly desirable
