As a Derivatives Strategist, you will engage in producing insightful publications, developing trading strategies, and serving institutional clients across various sectors. This role is fast-paced and intellectually stimulating, requiring strong quantitative skills and the ability to evaluate market implications.
Job responsibilities:
- Write and produce regular research reports, including flagship publications and special topic notes.
- Liaise with economists and strategists to formulate forecasts and views.
- Build new analytical frameworks and datasets, and maintain/update/improve existing ones.
- Interact with internal sales and trading teams and external institutional clients to fulfill requests and deliver research views.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Advanced degree in Finance/Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Sciences, or similar discipline.
- Excellent quantitative skills; experience with financial modeling is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in a language like Python or MATLAB.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Familiarity with economic datasets and experience navigating databases through interfaces like Bloomberg is a plus.
