What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Internal Communications Ink Editor VP position at JPMorganChase?
We are looking for a skilled editor who is an excellent storyteller with superb writing skills, clear thinking and a knack for capturing voice. In this role you will be responsible for the editorial content in our monthly firmwide internal newspaper, Ink.
As a Corporate Internal Communications Ink Editor VP, you will work in partnership with our managing editor to source content that is of interest to our global, internal audience. You will write/edit/assign stories and lead the online layout of the issue, working with our design teams to create visually appealing content across different channels: online, print and app. Someone with experience working in all of those channels would be ideal for this role, particularly someone with news app experience who can bring creative marketing and content ideas to our relatively new employee news app. In addition, you will know how to identify subject matter experts, ask the right questions and explain complex ideas clearly and succinctly, as well as present content visually with a strong eye for design, art and photography.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage content; superb writer, editor and proofreader; exceptional storyteller with an exceptional eye for detail
- Experienced in content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO)
- Use and understand metrics and analytics to measure success and lead desired outcomes
- Produce error-free content in a deadline-driven environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of experience in a writing-focused communications role
- Self-motivated and comfortable working on tight deadlines
- Data-driven and will use metrics to inform content decisions
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and collaboration skills
- Clear thinker, strong news judgment and strong team player who is comfortable with ambiguity and calm in chaos
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and ability to manage stringent deadlines
- Experience in visual communications, including graphics and video
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Photoshop.
- Organized and a self-starter who collaborates well and brings creative ideas to the table
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or public relations
- Prior experience in financial services and or financial/business journalism
- Mobile news app experience, and additional software skills (Adobe, Photoshop, InDesign, HTML)
