Job Responsibilities
- Own the analytics strategy and process for portfolio growth analytics, a key roadmap item for Consumer Bank analytics.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists, serving as a subject matter expert in account opening and attrition.
- Consult on experimental design, data collection, and develop new strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Interpret results and present findings to stakeholders and senior management, including the CMO.
- Continuously lead innovation projects to drive more advanced analytics.
- Recruit and train talented data professionals from diverse backgrounds, maintaining an inclusive team environment.
- Maintain a rigorous controls environment to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related fields).
- 5 years of experience in applying statistical methods to real-world problems (Marketing analytics experience preferred).
- 5 years of experience with SQL and at least one of the following analytical tools: SAS, Python, R (Python preferred).
- Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation (Tableau preferred).
- Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Insight/Visual Sciences, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, etc.).
- Superior written, oral communication, and presentation skills with experience communicating concisely and effectively with all levels of management and partners.
- A highly independent leader with a growth mindset.
- Intellectually curious and eager to learn new things with an eye towards innovation.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to focus on business goals.
- Excellent at solving unstructured problems independently.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
