Job Description

As a Data Scientist Lead within the Consumer Bank Marketing Analytics team, you will develop and execute analytical plans to understand drivers of deposit portfolio growth, from account opening to attrition. Your insights will be crucial in guiding strategic decisions and investments, impacting the broader organization.

Collaborate with stakeholders and other Data & Analytics teams to innovate and enhance our analytics capabilities. Lead and mentor a diverse team of data professionals, fostering an inclusive environment across CB Marketing Analytics and CB Test Design teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the analytics strategy and process for portfolio growth analytics, a key roadmap item for Consumer Bank analytics.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists, serving as a subject matter expert in account opening and attrition.
  • Consult on experimental design, data collection, and develop new strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Interpret results and present findings to stakeholders and senior management, including the CMO.
  • Continuously lead innovation projects to drive more advanced analytics.
  • Recruit and train talented data professionals from diverse backgrounds, maintaining an inclusive team environment.
  • Maintain a rigorous controls environment to ensure accurate and timely results.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related fields).
  • 5 years of experience in applying statistical methods to real-world problems (Marketing analytics experience preferred).
  • 5 years of experience with SQL and at least one of the following analytical tools: SAS, Python, R (Python preferred).
  • Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation (Tableau preferred).
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Insight/Visual Sciences, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, etc.).
  • Superior written, oral communication, and presentation skills with experience communicating concisely and effectively with all levels of management and partners.
