As a Data Scientist Lead, within the Consumer Bank Marketing Analytics team, you will focus on portfolio growth analytics and developing and executing analytical plans to understanding drivers of deposit portfolio growth from drivers of account opening to attrition.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the analytics strategy and process portfolio growth analytics which is a key roadmap item for Consumer Bank Analytics.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists across Consumer Bank Marketing Analytics organization as a subject matter expert account opening and attrition
- Consult on experimental design, data collection, and develop new strategies in collaboration with stakeholders and other Data and Analytics teams
- Interpret results and present to stakeholders and senior management
- Continuously lead innovation projects to drive more advanced analytics
- Recruit and train talented data professionals from diverse backgrounds and maintain an inclusive team environment across Consumer Bank Marketing Analytics and Test Design teams
- Maintain a rigorous controls environment to ensure accurate and timely results
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or related fields)
- 5 years of experience in applying statistical methods to real world problems; 5 years of experience with SQL and at least one of the following analytical tools: SAS and R
- Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation
- Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Insight/Visual Sciences, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, etc.)
- Superior written, oral communication and presentation skills with experience communicating concisely and effectively with all levels of management and partners
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Marketing analytics experience
- Python preferred
- Tableau preferred
