Our US-based Pension Operations team in Human Resources is responsible for Pension Administration and oversight for three dozen qualified plans and over 240K participants. Are you a hands-on Pension or Payroll Associate looking to join a large in-house retirement operations team at one of the world’s most admired companies? Come make a difference in our team!

As a Pension Payroll Associate, within our team, you will work on a small team responsible for Pension Payroll activities for a subset of this population. Activities include processing payroll, reconciling accounts pertaining to pension payroll and insurance, stopping and re-issuing payments, recovery of overpayments, and handling case work and participant inquiries. We are looking for a team player who takes pride in their work, has an efficiency mindset, and is focused on quality and controls

Job responsibilities:

  • Processing pension payroll twice per month within required timeline
  • Reconciling pension payrolls with our internal payment vendor and reconciling associated accounts
  • Actioning participant cases and associated payroll inquiries on a daily basis while meeting service levels
  • Validating accuracy of Pension payroll and ensuring quality of related work
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues involving payments and data
  • Managing activities and processes in order to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Mailing communications to pensioners on a monthly basis
  • Communicate timely and effectively with internal and external partners
  • Adapting to changing responsibilities over time; some overtime may be required

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Works well in a deadline-driven fast-paced operation involving data and payments
  • Possesses superior attention to detail and quality
  • Seeks to prevent issues and communicates across the team for awareness and understanding
  • Has strong organizational and multitasking skill; Is analytical with good problem-solving skills
  • Effectively manages work through peak volume periods
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communications skills, with proven ability to work with all levels of personnel, communicating clearly and diplomatically with participants
  • Follows through and resolve outstanding issues
  • Works independently and with the team to meet team SLAs and provide support
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentially, appreciates importance and sensitivity of the work
  • Demonstrates initiative, is a self-starter, fast learner, and team player
  • Proficient with Microsoft products; including Excel and Word

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2 years relevant work experience
