As a Fraud Business Manager - Vice President in the Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) Risk Management group, you will aid in optimizing business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. You will act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads, and be responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. This is a time-pressured and high-profile position which is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank’s corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives. You will excel at creative thinking and problem solving; be self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance)
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costs
  • Analyze financial performance, including expenses; identify productivity initiatives and drive implementation
  • Partner with the business, Operations and Technology in the definition of future workflows and implementation of related technology and infrastructure projects to prepare the business to meet the requirements of an ever evolving market structure
  • Partner with the relevant external service/ infrastructure providers
  • Provides accurate and concise results and presents findings, recommendations and presentations to Management.
  • Collaborate across cross functional teams to knowledge share and develop broader insights into fraud and customer impacts
  • Will be expected to work independently and multitask on several projects and processes
  • Ensure robust business controls exist and are executed against on a consistent basis
  • Partner closely with Operations, IT, marketing, finance, loss strategy owners, Retail bank leadership and digital leadership to ensure that all priorities are aligned.
  • Communicate across lines of business and all key stakeholder groups. Participate in developing and implementing best practices across the broader team including stakeholders like digital, product, finance, technology

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • 5 years of Project or Program Management experience.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Proven ability to evaluate the business climate, anticipate change and develop compensating strategies/vision.
  • Demonstrated leadership in applying analytics to efficiently and pragmatically solve business problems through structured problem-solving approaches.
  • History of communicating to senior leaders of an organization.
  • Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills. Ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information, develops recommendations, and makes decisions.
  • Project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach. Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables. Ability to manage and prioritize projects across cross-functional groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions and with senior-level individuals.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline from an accredited college/university preferred
